Snowflake Mountain: Season 1 | Rotten Tomatoes (1) John Doyle Globe and Mail In this instance, hate the show, not the contestants, and what we learn is that just when you think Netflix won’t go lower, it certainly will. Jun 28, 2022 Full Review Snowflake Mountain: Season 1 | Rotten Tomatoes (2) Richard Roeper Chicago Sun-Times A contrived Netflix reality show as dumb as all the others. Rated: 2/4 Jun 24, 2022 Full Review Snowflake Mountain: Season 1 | Rotten Tomatoes (3) Kylie Northover The Age (Australia) It’s hard to determine how much of Solomon’s “personality” is genuine, but at least he provides some much-needed drama in this largely lacklustre series, which starts out so promisingly but soon peters out faster than a Gen Z doing the dishes. Rated: 3/5 Jun 24, 2022 Full Review Snowflake Mountain: Season 1 | Rotten Tomatoes (4) Steve Murray ArtsATL So how can I explain that I stuck with all eight episodes of Snowflake Mountain, a really awful nonfiction series? Maybe because I was fascinated by how rotten the contestants are. Jul 11, 2022 Full Review Snowflake Mountain: Season 1 | Rotten Tomatoes (5) Melissa Camacho Common Sense Media Part reality competition and part train wreck, this is a formulaic series produced to make its cast look pathetic. Rated: 2/5 Jun 30, 2022 Full Review Snowflake Mountain: Season 1 | Rotten Tomatoes (6) Kyndall Cunningham The Daily Beast If their newest reality series becomes a success, we should only expect more of this sort of bootlicking, conservative garbage in the future. Samantha C I'm surprised at the animosity of the reviews for the show and the contestants. This is a light hearted feel good show - that helps young adults who have been disconnected from nature learn to get back to basics and learn teamwork, and self efficiency. It's a nice reminder, that if we put people in the right environment, growth is possible. I think some of the negative reviews maybe are snowflaking on the show! That, or misguided as to the premise of the show, or comparing it to different genresI genuinely started to like the constestants and found myself proud of how they grew. Rated 3.5/5 Stars • Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/15/24 Full Review Jeanne S I loved this show. Laugh out loud funny with sprinkles of lessons and heart. Lots of cussing from some entitled gen zers but well worth my time Rated 5/5 Stars • Rated 5 out of 5 stars 11/26/23 Full Review Steve R Genuinely touching growth and development of young people who haven't finished growing up until they had this life-changing experience. Rated 5/5 Stars • Rated 5 out of 5 stars 07/25/23 Full Review Mel A This was a fun watch. I first had to wonder about the ethics... like... was that spy cam really ethical? And the initial bait and switch, while perhaps necessary for the show's premise... is all that ethical? Also, it was very random. Bringing in the girl mid-journey, somewhat framed as a "prize" for the boys team when they introduced her... (come on, so misogynistic) and not introducing anyone else.... was that a producer call to strengthen the ratio of hot girls? It's kind of bad TV, to be honest. But like, I binged the whole thing and had a fun time with it. Not just that, but there was some personal growth for those that stayed that was nice to see. The team hosts, Joel and Matt... were sometimes nice and sometimes d-bags, and often without much rhyme or reason.... the chicken episodes were so stupid.... again.... bad tv but I enjoyed it nevertheless and wish it got picked up for a second season. Hopefully one day in the future they can modify and bring back this premise, it's fun! Rated 4/5 Stars • Rated 4 out of 5 stars 07/14/23 Full Review Dream P I loved the contestants except that one obviously but the show was so funny ! The only reason I didn't give a full 5 stars because Joel and Matt seemed just as unprepared as they made everyone else seem.. the whole show felt like an improvised masterpiece, Joel and Matt seemed like they were making up things especially when it came to winning or losing the money. Great show though please give us season 2 Rated 4/5 Stars • Rated 4 out of 5 stars 04/29/23 Full Review Hunter Terrible attempt at a "survival" contest/reality show. The concept of the contestants being "snowflakes" is such a dumb play at drawing in a politicized audience. Genuinely the worst show I've seen Netflix pump out.
