Garry's Mod Review

Garry's Mod is a game in the sandbox genre, which Garry Newman developed in 2004 as an addition to the Half-Life 2. The multiplayer version still collects tens of thousands of players online at a time. You have to create your own game maps and stories and pass someone created missions. Download Garry's Mod for Windows on Steam.

Gameplay 4/5

Garry's Mod game is a level editor on the Source physics engine. All textures and models, including weapons and characters, are borrowed from the legendary game Half-Life 2. Originally it was a simple level editor, which grew into a full-fledged game. You can create any location, add hundreds and thousands of items, prescribe simple scripts, use all kinds of models, and even create a unique mission story.

Graphics 3/5

Garry's Mod’s full version has outdated graphics, which corresponds to 2004 (Garry's Mod’ release date). Textures in the game are used from the popular Source engine. Most gaming models were taken from the Half-Life series, so all the items, weapons, and environments are familiar to gamers.

Controls 4/5

In Garry's Mod latest version, management was improved by fixing bugs and bugs. Most players use the keyboard and mouse to play – it will be most convenient and informative. To move, the player uses the classic WASD layout, which can be changed if necessary in the settings.

Conclusion

Is it interesting to play this game more than 16 years after the release? Yes, Garry's Mod is still relevant. Even despite the outdated graphics and engine, GMOD still attracts many players and certainly is not going to rest. Even if FacePunch Studios finally stops supporting the game, it will be developed by the fans. Now you can download Garry's Mod to your PC to test all the sandbox game features.
